Long and lean with half
the length of the head; straight nasal canal and nearly black nose.
Eyes
Hazel or dark brown.
Ears
Thin and soft to touch;
almost triangular in shape.
Tail
Carried horizontal.
Body
Narrow-chested with a
deep, somewhat streamlined thorax.
Colour
Long, flat and silky;
short and fine on the head with feathering on the upper case.

Dogs height 53.3-61cm(21-24
in), bitches height 50.8-59.7cm(20-23.5in); dogs weight 18-25 Kg(40-55lb),
bitches weight 15-22.3kg(33-49lb).
Origin
Originally from Ireland,
with spanish pointed ancestry, possible ancestry, possible older than its
English cousin.
Personality: the Irish setter is a long lived dog, and is both energetic and
independent.
