Description

Robust and vigourous, the grey-hound is most graceful when running at full speed.

Long head with chiseled muzzle, the skull wide between the ears, and a black pointed nose.

Long, well-muscled neck; front legs long and straight; broad back; muscular slightly arched loin; broad muscular thighs.

Short and fine, tight to the body

Black; white; red; fawn; fallow; brindle; multi-coloured or colourand white markings.

Dog's height 71.1-78.7(28-31 in), bitches height 68.6-71.1cm(27-28in); weight 27.3-31.8kg(60-70lb).

Origin

An ancient breed, possibly descended from an Arab greyhound; developed in Britain, it is now the epitome of hunting and racing dog.

Personality

Sensitive and intelligent, but not suited toapartment life as they need long daily exercing.
