Dome-shaped skull; pointed muzzle with distinct stop; black nose, with open nostrils

Well-sprung ribs, extending well back; powerful loins; longish neck with slight dewlap; strong, round feet

One of the oldest purebred British hound, popular with monarchs for hunting
